James was in Liverpool earlier this week, demonstrating the
Superleague Formula car in the city centre. The demo was part
of the 'Pageant of Power' which saw racing cars and bikes from many
eras parading along the Strand in front of the magnificent Royal
Liver Building.
Earlier in the day James was invited to Melwood, the training
ground for the Liverpool FC team, where he had a good look around
the hallowed ground with it's full size indoor and outdoor football
pitches, gym (complete with various player's training
schedules) and of course the players' changing rooms and the
Manager's office.
After a quick photo with the Champions League trophy it was time to
head into town for the demo. James was the star of the show
in the 750bhp Superleague car, which sounded incredible as the
engine noise bounced off the huge buildings. James' burnouts
thrilled the crowd and once he was done he got out of the car and
took a bow to the tune of a big round of applause.
As he left he had a quick look over his shoulder for the traffic
police as 104mph in a 30mph zone is pushing it a bit.
We think he got away with it though...!
